Wholesale Handmade Rugs for Dealers, Designers and Retailers
BestRugPlace is one of the largest authentic handmade rug wholesalers in the United States. We have supplied rug dealers, retailers, interior designers and furniture showrooms from coast to coast, as well as buyers outside the US, for more than three decades. Every rug we sell is genuinely hand-knotted or hand-woven from natural fibers. We do not stock machine-made rugs.
What we carry
Our Freeport, New York warehouse holds thousands of rugs in stock and ready to ship, with new containers arriving regularly. Wholesale buyers have access to our full inventory, including:
- Antique and semi-antique Persian rugs, including Kashan, Tabriz, Heriz, Serapi, Nain, Sarouk, Bijar, Hamadan and Mashad
- Hand-knotted Oriental rugs from India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkey and Iran
- Modern and transitional hand-knotted rugs, including Chobi, Ziegler, Oushak and Gabbeh
- Tribal and village weavings, Kilims and flat-weaves
- Oversized and palace-size carpets, runners and scatter rugs
- Silk and wool-and-silk pieces
Sizes run from 2x3 scatter rugs through 12x18 and larger palace sizes, plus runners in most lengths. Custom-made Oriental rugs can be ordered in specific sizes, colors and designs.

We wholesale to established rug and furniture retailers, interior designers and decorators, architects and design firms, home stagers, auction houses, and hospitality and commercial buyers. Whether you need a single piece for a client project or a full container to stock a showroom floor, we can supply it.

Appointments are recommended if you plan to visit the warehouse so we can pull relevant inventory in advance.
